Many of our animals have been rescued from less than Ideal situations or were no longer wanted at their previous farms and have now a safe, loving, forever home with us. We have taken animals from " needing TLC" to " Giving TLC" !
A lot of these animals have touched the lives of many through our variety of educational and therapeutic programming and community events. It is our mission to advocate for the humane and holistic care and treatment of animals as well as educating others about the therapeutic and various other benefits farm animals can provide!
On our farm animals are more than just "livestock". We know many of our followers and friends in the community are animal lovers and share this appreciation for all things fuzzy, feathered, hooves and horned.

Many of you know Storm from our Reading with Rabbits Literacy Program and Animal Ambassadors Events!
Storm is a young mini Rex rabbit with the softest of coats! Some say it feels like velvet!
She is quite athletic and loves to zoom through her tunnel and jump or " binkie" straight up in the air. Its a bunnies way of saying they are happy!
Mini Rex rabbits are fantastic listeners and enjoy attention. Her wiggly little whiskers and nose are always sniffing out her surroundings.
Storm is a favorite with students and pretty much everyone she meets!
What can we say about our girl Ophera...
she is the essence of everything pig.
She loves a great wallow, or sprawling out in a shady spot ( as seen in her profile photo - she was too into her nap to pose) & nibbling tiny snacks with her little piggie teefers.
Her favorite friend is Porky our Kune Kune pig man. They lay side by side in their straw nest after a hard day of napping and snore so loudly, it echoes throughout the barn!
Ophera came to us as "mini" pig and was about the size of a loaf of bread. Her previous owners were unaware of her care and maintenance and could not keep up... that was about 10 years ago!
This pig is smart too, she knows many tricks but her famous trick is "melting" onto her side for belly rubs!
Don't you just want to "boop" that pink, wet nose of hers?
Sam the Ram... is large and in charge.
He is a big teddy bear on hooves.
He is a Romney sheep and offers up his amazing coat of wool to us yearly.
We all love Samuel!
Samuel is a working man, he is trained to pull a wagon and cart providing help with hauling feed and water around to other animals on the farm... and occasionally pulling children on sleds in winter!
Samuel is a elderly fella that is often found babysitting the young goat kids that love to use him as a jungle gym and taunt him... he is a cool cucumber with them though as he just lays there and allows them to frolic about him.
He is like the cool uncle on the farm!
A newbie to the herd , little Dorito is a friend to everyone! His mom, Pumpkin has been a long time Animal Ambassador attending many educational events. We are already seeing hints that this little sir will be walking in his mamas hoof steps!
He is cute, friendly, petite and funny!
Both him and his twin sister Cheeto are quite mischievous and use their small size to sneak out of their enclosures and pastures and explore! They don't travel far though and generally find a stray child or two to fuss over them and play!
Little Dorito is a fantastic buddy to the other small baby goats in the pasture and can be seen playing king of the hill ( aka Tree stump) most of the day!
Do you love Lucy? I love Lucy!
Lucy is a gorgeous red head! She is a 2 yr old Satin angora doe with a lot to offer, like luxurious angel wing soft wool!
She is the queen of " the side eye" and always has her RBF "Resting Bunny Face" on high!
Lucy was born here on our farm and is the Sister to "Hellboy" another fiery red headed boy. Both Lucy and Hellboy have helped educate the public on sustainable , humanely raised , locally grown fibers.
Her wool is 7 x warmer than sheep wool, lanolin free and extremely soft!
Lucys Sponsor will receive a handmade gift made from nothing other than her own soft & luxurious satin angora wool!
"Barn Chicken" got her unique name from the cold hard fact that for the first 3 years after we adopted her she NEVER left the barn! She claimed her space and fiercely protects it from intruders!
While our other chickens are happily out scratching up worms and eating bugs in the gardens "Barn Chicken" is happily patrolling the stalls and walkways of our barn. No fowl play will happen on her watch!
We never quite understood her wishes to stay indoors but appreciate her dedication to eating the flies and spiders that wander onto the floor and crevasses where only a chicken beak would fit! Just recently she has started wandering a few feet from the barn to converse with the quail and chase barn cats away.
Her cranky , judgmental eyes strike fear into the heart of any mouse or cricket brave enough to enter her territory!
Sunny is a cheery gal with the most beautiful speckled coat and adorable spiral or "little cow lick" in the ower middle of her belly - can you spot it?
Sunny is one of our Animal Ambassadors and has also taken part in many of our "goat walks" leading guests along wooden paths and meadows. She has visited assisted living facilities and parades as well!
Sunny has warmed the hearts of many children and souls needing a pick me up with her adorable smile and friendly disposition.
Sunny was born on our farm and quickly became a favorite with the community. She is always the first one to greet us when we walk in the pasture!
Porky Pig is a riot! He is the friendliest "scary looking animal" on our farm! He barks - thats right, sounds like a dog as he greets you in the pasture. He can be quite loud!
His hair is bristly and his nose is always covered in mud... but how can you deny that adorable smile?!
Porky has never been late for a meal or turned down what was being served!
Ophera is Porkys best friend and they often are spotted sharing the wallowing hole on hot days or snoring it up in the barn in their nest made of straw.
Porky prefers cheek rubs and belly scratches on his list of acceptable affection.
Activate the Barn Cat Brigade!
These adorable purring , pest detering machines are in full force whent hey arent grabbing a nap in the loft.
These barn cats came from the " Barn at program " in affiliation with a local SPCA and after a trip to the vet to remove their ability to reproduce ( Please Spay and Neuter your pets!) they went on the prowl and have immensely reduced the population of barn vermin! Its hard work being so beautiful ... they are fairly lazy during the day, just lounging about grabbing the occasional pet or pppppsssst ppppst from the kids. Our Barn kitties are awesome!
Scarface shown in the profile is the friendliest of them all!
Nigel is a worldly fella, he has a wise "old soul" and adventure in his eyes. Nigel doesn't really like to hang with the "youngens" and is better suited for the more mature crowd. He is a loner and we believe he spends most of his days chewing his cud while figuring out lives little mysteries.
Nigel is a 2 year old Nigora ( Nigerian Dwarf/Angora Goat cross) that made his debut as one of our first Animal Ambassadors with educational programs, he is in early retirement now as a more youthful crowd has taken over many in person appearances.
Nigel and his twin sister provide the softest wool for unbelievably soft handmade wool gifts!
Do you love chickens? These quail are basically mini chickens!
A "Covey" is the term for a small group of birds, namely quail. Quail are social birds and tend to have 10-15 bird in a flock. They are small birds that easily fit in the palm of your hand! Their beautiful eggs are the size of a quarter and are comprised of mostly yolk making them much more creamier than chicken eggs.
Our quail covey consists of gorgeous speckled and frosted color variations of males and females.
Learn more about their interesting day to day lives by sponsoring the covey!
Aflac is a genuinely investigative fella! He is the first to come to the swimming pool and leave his mark by washing off all his feathers and flinging water everywhere. The other ducks in his flock often standby until he is done preening to take their turn in the que. No one messes with Alfacs beauty sessions!
Aflac is a Pekin duck and one that often is spotted "talking" to the other ducks and chickens that pass by his area. We dont know what he is saying but is quite a chatty man.
Aflac was hatched here on our farm and has 5 siblings, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
The Ofxford Dictionary definition of Clique : " a small group of people, with shared interests or other features in common, who spend time together and do not readily allow others to join them." Pretty much sums up the Chickens that prowl the farm eating bugs , scratching up under the trees and laying eggs.
Randy Rooster and his circle of girls are not the welcoming type when it comes to outsiders - they are large and in charge. Brahma Chickens are quite impressive! They do however adore humans! Even more so when they bring kitchen scraps like veggie ends and bread crumbs...
One of the ladies in Randys circle , Bonnie, is a Animal Ambassador that has traveled with us to many therapy sessions collecting pets and even kisses!
Tom is handsome, Tom is sleek, Tom knows how to strut his stuff! He has plumage for days and the ladies adore his gobble and his little turn on the catwalk! Tom has is going on...
Tom is " The Man" ..
Secret: This can all be brought to a screeching halt in seconds as Tom is a bit of a scaredy cat. Things that kill his mojo:
Dogs, Cats, Finches, Sheep Baaing, Doors slamming, sometimes airplanes, those scary life threatening stray leaves and sometimes grasshoppers scare the beegeez out of him.
Otherwise he saunters about impressing his ladies and showcasing his feathery display. Just dont let him know I told you about his weaknesses! We dont want to embarrass him!
Frizz is a adorable angora goat. Angora goats are known for their curly locks from head to hoof!
Frizz and her mom have the best mother daughter relationship. Where one is the other is not far behind!
Angora goat fiber is prized for its loftiness and shiny curls of white. The " mohair" is fast growing and used in lots of crafts as well as spun into unique yarn for crafters to create with.
Frizz is a cool cucumber when it comes to temperament, and in the barn yard she has many friends!
Wanna serve lunch on our farm?
They say the way to a animals heart is through their stomach - that may go for men too - Ha!
We purchase locally grown, family farm operated, high quality hay to our sheep, goats and rabbits.
One bale feeds half the barn for one day.

Like salt and pepper on your favorite meal, Minerals are what gives coats their shine, eyes their glimmer and energy to bolt out into the pasture in the morning.
We are always filling the mineral dishes in our barn and they are always gobbling it down.
Minerals enhance overall health and nutrient absorption of feed and hay!
